E-mail services
E-mail management and deliverability
E-mail must reliably send and receive messages, filter unwanted mail and protect the domain from abuse. This requires correct configuration, ongoing reputation checks, updates and adaptation to changing delivery rules.
E-mail is not a one-time installation
A small error in DNS, authentication or reputation can cause messages to be rejected or sent to spam. At the same time, fraudulent messages must be filtered, accounts protected and backup, archive and recovery procedures understood.
What I can cover
- Design of a new e-mail service or takeover and review of an existing platform
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC domain authentication
- Spam filtering, malware checks and protection against sender impersonation
- Domain reputation, queue and non-delivery diagnostics
- Mailbox, alias, rule, quota and access protocol management
- Backups, archiving, monitoring and incident handling
Typical problems
- Outgoing messages are rejected or delivered to spam
- The domain is not protected against sender spoofing
- Users receive excessive spam or fraudulent messages
- Backup and recovery of mailboxes are unclear
Reviewing the complete delivery chain
Troubleshooting cannot stop at the mail server. Deliverability is influenced by DNS records, IP and domain reputation, message content, forwarding methods and the policies of receiving systems.
Management therefore includes the service itself as well as regular checks of the surrounding environment and logs. The objective is reliable delivery without unnecessarily aggressive filtering of legitimate mail.
Outcome
The e-mail service gains controlled configuration, stronger protection against abuse and clearer diagnostics. When an incident occurs, the cause can be identified and normal operation restored more quickly.
